Bernd has been a member of the Liège Bar since 1996. He was called to the Cologne Bar in 1998 and became a member in 2004. He is a partner in Matray, Matray & Hallet, working out of our offices in Liège.

His preferred areas of practice are social law, social security law, company law, and economic law. In social law, Bernd is active in the field of consultancy (drafting employment contracts, works rules, advice on collective agreements, etc), litigation (employer liability in respect of accidents involving employees or acts committed by employees, alteration and end of the employment relationship, etc), and also in the field of acquisitions / transfers of ownership of companies (aspects of employment law connected with the transfer of the business or branch of activities, as well as mergers and acquisitions).

Bernd has written various publications on social law and commercial law.

His working languages are German, French, English, and Dutch.
